Bio
I specialize in behavioural ecology and environmental physiology of marine top predators, such as marine mammals and seabirds. I seek to understand how environmental changes impact foraging ecology, energetics and fitness of free-ranging animals in a management and conservation context. I use a multidisciplinary approach based on field-based data, on state-of-the-art biologging and biotelemetry tools, and on advances analytical and modelling methods to my research.
Degrees
PhD in Zoology from University of British Columbia, Canada obtained in 2015. Topic: Foraging strategies and efficiencies of lactating northern and Antarctic fur seals: implications for reproductive success. Supervisor: Prof Andrew Trites.
