Erasmus+ project MOTION

01/09/2020 - 31/08/2023
MOTION’s context lies in sustainable tourism in five EU regions: Toruń, Poland; Granada, Spain; Klaipeda, Lithuania; Fehmarn, Germany; and Rovaniemi, Finland. The project addresses overtourism problems, such as overcrowding, tourism’s problems with residents, environmental & heritage degradation, and low-quality experiences.

The aim of the project is to develop solutions for top tourist destinations that suffer from mass tourism (e.g. UNESCO World Heritage Sites ). The focus is on protecting the locations and their environment.

Six project partners, Laurea UAS, Kiel UAS, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, University of Granada, Klaipėda University and municipality of Monachil, form a strategic partnership to create awareness leading to actions to combat overtourism issues.

Erasmus+ project FUTURE

01/04/2020 - 31/03/2023
“FUTURE – From Urban To hUman REgeneration. Competences to regenerate communities in urban regeneration processes” has the general objective of bridging the skills gap in the urban regeneration sector – both for university students and young professionals who have already worked- through the acquisition of skills and technical knowledge with an interdisciplinary and innovative approach, such as practice-based learning.

To reach the objective, the consortium wants to create a training model, that will support students and young professionals to acquire a set of competences making them capable of implementing urban regeneration processes by reducing distances between stakeholders and creating opportunities for local sustainable development, co-design and enhancement of the identity of a territory.
