EU-CONEXUS is strongly committed to the protection of personal data, aware of the importance of ensuring data confidentiality.

The purpose of this Policy is to provide you with all the information you need to understand how EU-CONEXUS collects, processes and protects your personal data when using the Portal “EU-CONEXUS Research & Innovation Information System”.

WHAT DATA IS COLLECTED AND PROCESSED?

EU-CONEXUS shall ensure that it only collects and processes Data that is strictly necessary in view of the objective pursued.

When using the portal, certain categories of personal data concerning the user may be collected:

  • Connection data
  • Professional details (biography, projects, position, scientific field, etc.).

 

PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASIS OF PROCESSING

The processing of personal data carried out by EU-CONEXUS via the Portal serves explicit, legitimate and specific purposes.

Data is processed mainly for the following purposes and on the following legal bases:

  • User authentication on the Portal based on a public service mission
  • Presentation of the research staff, research units, infrastructures and research services of EU-CONEXUS partner institutions based on a public service mission

EU-CONEXUS only communicates personal data to authorised and specified recipients. These recipients are in particular the following:

  • EU-CONEXUS internal departments responsible for this processing;
  • EU-CONEXUS technical service providers;
  • any partners or co-contractors of EU-CONEXUS;

 

HOW LONG CAN WE KEEP YOUR DATA?

EU-CONEXUS will only keep your data for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and in compliance with current legislation.

 

WHAT RIGHTS DO YOU HAVE OVER YOUR DATA?

You have rights over your data. At any time, you have the right to ask EU-CONEXUS to access or rectify your data.

If you wish to exercise these rights, please contact dpo@univ-lr.fr. If we have any doubts about your identity, we may ask you for proof of identity.

If, after contacting us, you feel that your rights have not been respected, you can submit a complaint to the CNIL.

 

HOW DO WE USE COOKIES?

When you browse the Portal, cookies may be installed on your terminal by EU-CONEXUS. Cookies are small files stored temporarily on your computer's hard drive. They are required to use the Website (technical cookies) or to measure the audience for the services offered on the Website in order to improve the Website (audience measurement cookies).

Strictly technical cookies are necessary for the operation of the Site. They are always placed and do not require your consent.

Matomo's audience measurement cookies comply with the RGDP and are therefore exempt from consent.

Cookies have a lifetime of 1 week. Personal data collected from cookies is kept for a maximum of 25 months.

The data collected from cookies is processed in accordance with the Regulations.
